Looking back at Törggelen 2022

We are celebrating the move
to the Eresing location

Grand opening ceremony with industry gathering

What a success! Around 100 industry experts, sales managers, and fresh produce managers from the food retail sector in Germany and Austria met with us on September 15th and 16th. We celebrated our move to our new location in Eresing and the opening of our new warehouse with a traditional "Törggelen" (a South Tyrolean autumn feast). All participants brought with them a willingness to learn from one another. Sustainability was a recurring theme in the presentations, talks, and discussions, providing all participants with new perspectives

Industry experts and business economists will give presentations

From artisanal butchers to supermarket managers, we met under the motto "Törggelen meets Sustainability!" Our guests had the opportunity to be inspired by expert presentations with a strong practical focus: How can sustainable meat quality be sold in times of high price sensitivity? Can conventional meat also be particularly sustainable? How can retailers and tradespeople counteract the shortage of skilled workers? Can changes be actively implemented within a company? How can local producers and supermarkets best support each other?

The audience was unanimous: the gathering and exchange will foster new ideas and collaborations in the spirit of sustainability. "Mutual learning instead of working in isolation is something we all expressly desire," meat expert Fritz Gempel summarized the successful event.

Sustainability is a core principle of PricoPlex's corporate philosophy

The new building in Eresing relies on natural materials, a green roof, and renewable energy generation. The building is powered by geothermal energy and its own photovoltaic system. The green roof filters the air, can store water, and provides cooling and insulation for the office spaces. These measures ensure a permanently reduced CO2 energy supply. This also attracts tenants whose business models are based on sustainability, such as the startup Reverion, whose services ensure the optimal use of biogas.

The production of counter trays for service counters is also committed to sustainability. PricoPlex uses high-performance plastics to minimize raw material extraction and emissions. PricoPlex relies on SymbioPlex (ABS/PMMA) and PerPlex (polycarbonate). Finally, proper waste management is also crucial.

The sheets and trays, manufactured in Germany using injection molding and vacuum forming processes, guarantee a long service life, which, according to Priebe, must be factored into sustainability assessments: From the raw material source and production process to service life and disposal management, some plastics already meet the requirement of being particularly sustainable. Because plastic is irreplaceable in its function today. It all comes down to the ingredients and the correct manufacturing process, because durability means sustainability.
